Research Questions:
- What are appropriate indicators for measuring the impact of TAGDev 2.0 in terms of institutional transformation, student outcomes, and community change?
- How can UoE monitor and evaluate progress in entrepreneurial, educational, and research objectives under TAGDev?
- What data collection systems (digital, participatory) are feasible and sustainable for long-term monitoring?
Methods:
- Indicator development workshop: Work with stakeholders (faculty, community leaders, students, TAGDev management) to co-create a theory of change and M&E framework.
- Baseline data collection: Gather baseline metrics (e.g., number of enterprises, student skills, community adoption) before interventions scale.
- Design digital data system: Propose or pilot a digital M&E platform (mobile surveys, dashboards) and test usability with field teams.
- Continuous feedback: Implement a feedback loop using data for decision-making and program adjustment.
Implications:
- Provide UoE with a rigorous and practical M&E system for TAGDev 2.0.
- Support accountability to funders (e.g., Mastercard Foundation) by showing measurable impact.
- Help in iterative learning and adaptation of TAGDev interventions.
